The experience between the imagined and the real world leaves an undefined area. We live our lives in physical space, but our thoughts consume a whole different world. One that is not graspable. The work visualizes one moment in a continuum of elusive experiences. It documents the complicated world of relationships and measures emotional time and space. The people that are on our minds are not necessarily the people we get to spend time with. Our thoughts ignore time and space. They don’t have borders. Our bodies do.

The work process deals with the void that is being created by the gap between the imagined and the real. It questions the border between the inner and outer world and manifests itself in a public space. The emotional inner world is put on display and communicates what our verbal language so often fails to do.
The work consists of:
– 1 book with various charts and graphs which measure mental and physical time and space
– 14 booklets with filled forms which people used to apply to me as an acquaintance, friend, best friend, boyfriend, lover, and mentor
– 1 prospectus which clarifies the above positions
– 7 glass sculptures
